OpenWorldVault

Editorial Policy

Last updated July 11, 2026

OpenWorldVault exists to be trustworthy. This page explains how we research, label, and correct information so you always know what kind of evidence sits behind a claim.

Sourcing

We prefer primary sources— Rockstar’s official website, Newswire, and trailers, plus platform holders. When we rely on secondary reporting, we attribute it. We do not publish material obtained through hacking, theft, or unauthorized access.

Verification labels

Every factual page carries one status, shown near the title:

  • Official — confirmed by a primary source.
  • Reported — credible secondary reporting, not yet officially confirmed.
  • Rumor — an unverified claim, covered because it’s newsworthy.
  • Community — a reproducible player or community discovery.
  • Editorial — our analysis, recommendation, or interpretation.

A label never lowers the evidence bar — it tells you what kind of evidence exists.

Spoilers

We tag pages with a spoiler level (none, light, moderate, or major). Moderate and major spoilers sit behind a warning and a click. We never put major story spoilers in titles, descriptions, or introductions.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and — for significant changes — note it on our corrections page. Every factual page shows a published, updated, and last-verified date.

Independence

OpenWorldVault is independent and unofficial. We are not paid by Rockstar or any publisher to cover their games, and we don’t let access or marketing override the facts. Any future affiliate or sponsored content will be disclosed clearly — see our affiliate disclosure.
